Analysis of the current situation
Current business processes are analysed and checked for weaknesses. Design recommendations for target processes can already be written down.


Modelling of the target processes
This is done with consequent attention of the targets set at the beginning of this phase. The selection of the supporting IT system must be done before starting with detail modelling of the processes. If a BPM system is used, the modelling must be possible within the system in order to be able to work effectively!


Implementation
The target processes are implemented in a combination of organisational changes and technical implementations.


Usage and continuous improvements
The new processes must be tested in practice and adopted and improved according to the ever-changing conditions.
